WELCOME

Welcome to the Triangle Novell Users' Group web site. Across the industry, users groups have been a great support to people in these rapidly changing IT times. Now more than ever, corporations are expanding their reach and adding much needed services to their current offerings. Gone are the days where a network installation consisted of only workstations, switches and a server. Diverse platform support, communications, disaster recovery, high-availability, remote user access, increased security, and identity management are situations that face even the smallest of companies.

Novell has been busy providing a vast array of new products addressing the evolving needs of companies everywhere. These new products, while enhancing the network experience for the end user, have compelled IT personnel to continue to gain significant expertise in an ever-increasing range of products that can be very daunting.

It is exciting to see that interest in re-establishing a formal Novell Users Group has re-emerged. The Triangle has dropped off some of the Novell tour lists as of late, and this users' group will show Novell that there is an interest in Novell in the Triangle area that should not be ignored.

During the meetings, it will be interesting to explore as a group the large and varied amount of products Novell provides that can meet the needs of any size organization. Some people will have a lot of familiarity with the products and will be able to bring real-life examples to the table that will benefit all. Novell is in use in a lot more companies than people may realize and it is important that those companies have a common forum to ask questions, brainstorm ideas, and share success stories as well as looking at ways to protect and enhance their current investment in technologies.

The purpose of this Users Group is to provide a centralized forum for those who use Novell products, but at the same time it can also provide a network of people that communicate more than just once a month and can become a true tool in day-to-day IT operations. This web site will facilitate that communication.

We welcome and encourage any constructive feedback that will allow this group to better serve the community. Thank you and we hope to see you at our next meeting!
